This car park serves as a gateway to the Chinnor Hill Nature Reserve, a 45-hectare area of chalk downland featuring a variety of flora and fauna. The reserve is home to a range of wildlife, including butterflies, bees, and birds, which thrive among the wildflowers and scrubland. Visitors can explore the reserve's network of trails, taking in the scenic views of the surrounding countryside and the distant Chiltern Hills.
BEWARE: The car park that the local walks start and end at is a crime hotspot. It's at the end of a quiet lane with no visibility from the few local cottages. For years apparently it has been targeted by local thieves, as the many signs around will warn you about. Our car and 2 others had their rear windscreens smashed and items stolen.
Great place to start lots of different walks and runs. Not a huge amount of parking so it can get busy on sunny days.
View is great. Great sunset view on sunny day, great view of Chinnor steam rail on cold days.
Great for walking, biking, very steep hills and fun downhill trails. Beautiful view once at the top
Beautifull place with nices footpaths, climbs and panoramas. Free parking.
One of the best views in the Chilterns and one of the least well known. I live in Chinnor and regularly walk up and mountain bike up to here to take in the wonderful vista.
