Reclaimed farmland with woods, fishing in a gravel pit, a pond-dipping platform and a play area.
Beautiful landscape, chill out to walk around the small lake. Enough car park slots near the entrance.
Walked anti-clockwise around the lake, from carpark. Peace and quiet spoilt by constant moterway traffic in left ear and grounds keeper mowing the grass at the golf course in my right ear. Nice walk if you bring ear plugs.
It's always been a great fun to be at Chorlton water park . Feel like to stay there whole day by the side of the pond . There is enough seats to rest yourself and we have also enjoyed a good dry picnic over there .... There are good bunch of games for the kids so , good for every age group
Been here before.....very nice to go out for a walk.
Great park, lovely lake with a small children's area. Seating interspersed around the perimeter. Access to wonderful river walks along the Mersey, too.
Gorgeous little lake full of swans, geese, ducks, coots, marsh hens, tufted ducks, black headed gulls, and more! All very friendly! Make sure not to feed them bread as it's not good for them, try oats or seeds instead. The swans and geese might nip at you if you're too close, but it's usually either by accident or to get your attention, they're not aggressive. There are toilets near the entrance, an ice cream van in the summer, and a lovely food van often parks there named Tibetan Kitchen, they have vegan and non vegan food, and hot drinks, lovely for when it's a bit nippy! There's also plenty of park benches. Perfect for a nice day out!
