This 18th-century forge and water mill is a well-preserved example of the UK's industrial heritage. The mill's wooden machinery and ironworking equipment are still intact, giving visitors a glimpse into the lives of the craftsmen who worked here. The adjacent forge, where iron was heated and shaped, features a massive waterwheel that powered the bellows and hammers. The mill's tranquil surroundings, nestled among trees and adjacent to a babbling brook, belie the intense industry that once took place here.
