Cilfynydd Castle is a 13th-century fortified manor house situated in the village of Cilfynydd, Powys, Wales. The castle features a rectangular shape with four towers, one at each corner, and a curtain wall that encloses the courtyard. Its architecture is a mix of medieval and Tudor styles, with stone walls, battlements, and narrow windows. Although it is now a ruin, the castle still retains its grandeur and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Fantastic views over Pontypridd Cilfynydd, Abercynon , Pen y Fan, Corn Ddu and Cribyn and also the Carntown trig point. Lovely place, but sadly the cows have turned up all the paths and kids are chasing the cows and throwing cow pats at them. It's sad to see this and possibly dangerous for the kids to be interfering with cattle.
