A trail encircles this body of water, which has fish, ducks & a wading pool, plus boats for rent.
Lovely boating lake to walk or scoot around on well maintained paths. Lake itself has many types of birds resident, rowing boats and pedalos for hire, on Wednesday and Sunday motorised model boats. Large sand area with Pirate Ship for children to play in/on, chimes and balance discs. Cleethorpes coast light railway runs alongside to rear. Paths suitable for motorised scooters and other mobility aids.
We had such a great time with the kids on the paddle boats! The boys loved being out on the water, and feeding the birds was a big hit. The whole experience was well-organized, and the staff was super friendly. A perfect day out with the family - we'll definitely be back!
The boating lake is only one of several attractions at this sea front location, the others including a paddling pool, sandpit with pirate boat play frame, crazy golf and miniature railway, plus bar, cafe and ice cream vendors. The boating lake itself has a choice of rowing boats and pedalos, and the boat hire station also sells seed to feed the ducks. Altogether, you could spend all day, or multiple days, at this family oriented attraction, most of it free.
We were staying at the Premier Inn, so walked across to the lake for an after dinner walk, there were some beautiful geese, however the paths were very dirty it was hard to walk round without treading in poo. Nice to see the kids were on the boats having fun.
Looks a nice place for a walk, the boating area was closed when we visited it, but you could walk around it.also its rite next to a Chinese buffet. A big chargeable carpark. train rides right next to the lake.
Rode over on my motorbike parking was good and reasonably safe Plenty of food options not to exspensive staff wer lovly Bit dodgie with a dog and young geese and swans have to be vigilant but wasnt really an issue for our dog
