The Cleethorpes Coast Light Railway is one of Britain's oldest seaside miniature railways and has been delighting young and old for over 75 years. Enjoy a two mile return journey along the picturesque Lincolnshire Coast. Sit back with a refreshing pint at the smallest pub on the planet The Signal Box Inn and stop off at Sidings Snack Shack for a bite to eat. Tee-off for a round of crazy golf and Drive Your Own Train (Under 10s only). To round things off grab a memento from one of the well stocked gift shops. Why not visit and see what makes us the North East Lincolnshire attraction with something for everyone!
Great fun. Short stretch of track along the coast past the lakes to The Signal Box which is recognised as the smallest pub in the world. Great selection of ales always available and a nice varied menu of hot food served upto 4pm at competitive prices.
Lovely place to spend 1-2 hours. The train was a nice little ride and then we had a round of crazy golf. Would happily bring the children back.
This was a last minute visit at the end of our holiday to Cleethorpes. What a pleasant surprise! The train tickets for 2 adults and three children cost between PS32-PS35. There is local parking (both free and paid) nearby both Lakeside and Kingsway Stations. We chose Lakeside and the parking cost PS4.20 for three hours but we paid through the app which was much easier. We rode the train back towards Cleethorpes Beach where there was another little road train/bus which was PS2 per person and took you right into the centre. We decided to walk which took around 15 minutes but it was lovely. The path runs right along the beach front with lovely views and the boys had a great time. There's a super huge arcade and lots of cafes/ restaurants. Definitely recommend :)
Our 5 year old Autistic grandson loved his visit, including several train rides, on the CCLR. He and his sister also loved the little tram ride at the Lakeside Station (Meridian Showground end of the line), where there's also a display about the railway, gift shop, cafe and the 'world's smallest pub', which is fabulous on a nice weather day.
Great outdoor seating area that is open as well as under shelter, small pub, cafe coffee, teas food, small gift shop, crazy golf, function room, bands.and other events on... see their website and the steam trains, of course.
Lovely little railway. Doesn't go far but we enjoyed the ride. Jumped off for a beer in the little bar and came back. Not too expensive
