This was the highlight of my 8 day trip to Ireland from the states. It was absolutely beautiful! The weather was perfect! The sun was shining on us the whole time. End of August. The area that has been closed off does not affect viewing. There were alot of tourists there but everyone was very respectful and took turns viewing and photographing.
100% recommend !! The view was spectacular, one of the most beautiful we've seen on our trip in Ireland. It might be a little busy depending on the day you go. I can only advise you to look up for the weather, especially to avoid the fog...
Very impressive views of the cliffs from here. It was very popular when we visited in May with over a dozen coaches parked up. However it is a big enough space not to feel too crowded. There is a large parking area and you pay for parking and the experience all in one. It wasn't cheap but worth it for the views. There is a visitors centre with a short 4D experience, information about the cliffs, toilets and a cafe. All very busy, especially the cafe and female toilets. You can join the coastal walk from here if you fancy a longer stroll. It was quite breezy in places. There is a small golf cart for those who might find the walk harder ferrying people up to the viewing tower and back.
Beautiful coastal walking trails and well designed paths. Paths are easily accessed from the Visitor's center. A nice afternoons journey in 2 hours for seniors traveling by coach. If you are traveling with kids take your time and allow approximately 5-6 hours. Caution children for distance around electric fences for added safety. The visitor center has a nice coffee shop with food if you wish to eat out as well. Happy Travels :) !
It rained the whole time but we still loved it. Clearly a beautiful place when you can see all of it but our visibility was limited to about 40ft at most. The information center provided lots of visuals and even a short 4D experience with wind and splash effects.
An outstanding visit. I could really lose myself walking along the cliffs. We ventured past the dire warning sign of Danger. No problem, just don't climb over the wall. A very cool visitor center, but as usual with too few womens toilets.
