Elegant hotel in a 17th-century mansion with a luxe spa & an outdoor pool, plus fine dining.
We stayed at Cliveden years ago and had great memories of it. Last weekend we returned and found it even better than we remembered. Every aspect of the hotel is superb. The beautiful setting, the great building, the outstanding restaurant and the amazingly friendly and helpful staff make this one of the best hotels in the country, and indeed the world. Our suite was beautiful and we appreciated the dog-friendly nature of the hotel. We will definitely return before long. There is so much to do at Cliveden, but equally it is the perfect place for just staring into the distance and enjoying that remarkable view.
What a lovely 24 hours. Very last minute booking as a treat and wow it was. I enjoyed it all so very much. From check in to check out it couldn't have been more perfect. |The house and grounds are beautiful. An old school elegance and sense of tradition. The only disappointment being the weather on arrival which restricted exploring the grounds. |We had a lovely dinner and very attentive service. |A particular highlight was the massage with Tanja. |Look forward to coming back.
Extraordinary service at the hotel, spa and Astor Grill. Had a difficult time with the airlines and they provided a nice happy respite from the troubles. Very nice room, Sebastian quite helpful, Danielle at the spa was amazing and the food was really really good. Of course the grounds are truly amazing--classic English countryside, loads of trails etc. only 30 min from LHR. Absolutely our new layover hotel.
Beautiful grounds and lovely tea areas. Easy parking for disabled. Well worth a visit as spectacular views of grounds and the river. Cannot comment on hotel etc due to having a dog with us.
It's a wonderful, beautiful , and historic place to stay. Stunning building and interiors, and magnificent gardens with extensive grounds to explore. With the building being so old you can expect to have a few minor issues, and the hotel feels boutiquey, so don't expect over the top service. But they are very kind and did manage any requests we had. It's about an hour from London so easy enough to pop in whenever needed.
NT visitor to the grounds only. We have going here on and off regularly for 25 years, we love to walk around here at all times of the year. We typically spend a good 4 hours here, taking a picnic with us. Plenty of parking,
