Excellent place to visit, suggest the scenic route via the turnoff just before Staylittle (if coming from Machynlleth) which runs partly next to the lake, before bringing you back on the road into Llanidloes (or vice versa if coming the other way). There is a good viewpoint on the other side of the lake which is worth a visit.
Little bit of a trek, could have better directions. But the venue made up for all that. Pity no half-day tickets. Shop well stocked, staff helpful.
