This scenic viewpoint offers breathtaking 360-degree views of the surrounding countryside, with the rolling hills and mountains of the Highlands stretching out as far as the eye can see. On a clear day, it's possible to see for miles, taking in the rugged beauty of the Scottish landscape. The viewpoint is marked by a large stone cairn, and there's a small parking area and picnic tables, making it a great spot to stop and take in the views.
Lovely viewpoint. Relatively well-maintained footpath although steep and rough in places. There are a number of trails around Ullapool Hill, with the viewpoint and summit (slightly further on) being just one. The viewpoint has a great piece of interpretation with a nice poem and markers for the surrounding hills. Well worth a visit.
Lovely walk up a well made and signposted path from the centre of Ullapool. Great views over the town and Loch Broom, and you can keep going up round to Loch Achall for a longer stretch of the legs, or just do some of the shorter paths to the Braes.
Steady incline of a walk to the view point. Stunning views of Ullapool. Great little half our walk to the top and back down.
We stopped in Ullapool specifically to charge our tesla which gave us a bit of time to explore. When we found this spot on google we were really thankful for the short (about an hour out and back) hike up to the port/village viewpoint. The hike was fairly easy as the path is well traveled. Since we were just passing through and looking for something quick, but active to do, this is exactly what we were looking for.
A canyon of wide berth, how it stow with stone and bark, can you please ensure my mattress has a protector
Easy rocky path to the top, took us half an hour to get there. Not too muddy nor slippery, despite the poor weather, stunning view, vie a lot of midges.
