Extensive parkland with wildlife nature reserve and kids' splash park, plus lake habitats and hides.
A serene little hideout with sweeping lakeviews, landscaped gardens, benches to sit on, kids' play area and much more. It's the ideal spot if you're looking to have a peaceful stroll or even a brisk walk for that matter. Situated in the lap of nature, you will be greeted by pleasing birdsong and families with children. A must-visit for some downtime if you're in the area.
Nice walk around the lake. And the lido looked fun. But the pitch and putt was very crap! Clubs were poor and surfaces were very poor
A lovely park. Lots of space to sit and relax, have a picnic etc Benches dotted throughout. The cafe is usually busy but the prices are reasonable, limited hot food available, cakes, ice cream.... A great place to go and walk around Plenty of wildlife Play park Paid parking
Beautiful location, perfect for a leisurely stroll around, lots of little trails off the main path. The cafe is great too with a decent selection of food that is reasonably priced and a huge selection of sweet treats! Even have vegan and veggie options.
Lovely place to take the children and have a nice walk. The play area is great, they even have a swing for wheelchairs, which is amazing
A very pleasant and peaceful way to spend the day, or just the afternoon. The only sounds to be heard are bird song, the occasional honking of the geese, children and the distant hum of traffic on the M4 motorway. There is a small cafe and playpark, the only toilets are behind the cafe. It is possible to walk all the way round the lake, distance as about 1.3/4 miles (2.8k). The car park is a pay & display or payphone permit, PS2.20 an hour
