Cober Valley is a scenic valley in the Peak District National Park, Derbyshire, England. It is surrounded by rolling hills, limestone cliffs, and picturesque villages. The valley is home to several walking trails, including the popular Monsal Trail, which follows the route of the former Midland Railway. Visitors can explore the valley's natural beauty, visit the nearby villages of Miller's Dale and Tideswell, and enjoy outdoor activities such as hiking, rock climbing, and cycling.
Its always a delight to follow the river through the woods to the stepping stones. Great for dogs - especially if they like getting wet ! Never really busy. No specified car parking ,but there are side streets nearby - please be respectful of local peoples parking areas.
Was an amazing place to have a lil walk in the woods. Only problem faced was parking. Had to park away on the roadside and walk about 200 meters. Not busy at all when we visited (around 5pm). Again, we could not find any name boards or direction labels and had to seek help of a lovely local family having tea out in the garden. Doesn't matter if you come from either side of the road, as soon as the maps app tells you that you have reached, you'll be going downhill. Lookout for a telephone booth behind a bus stop leading to a gravel road. Proceed like less than 50 meters and you can see the stones laid on the beautiful stream on your left. Hope this is useful!
Lovely walk here....no parking though
