Wooded paths for hiking & biking, plus a visitors centre with a cafe, play area & bike wash station.
I was the walker and loved it!! There are 3 or 4 walking routes from main visitor centre. I chose the "strenuous" one as others seemed a bit tame. It was hard! So be prepared for off road terrain, rocky paths and, currently, wet conditions. (Walked down small rocky streams!) The paths are really well sign posted but do stick to them. No mobile phone signal, so be aware if you need to stay in contact with riders. The other paths are much more gentle and dog friendly. Cafe was a welcome retreat at the end, both for me and the mtb riders (especially the one who fell off!) Clean toilets and even showers available. Have heard rumour that cafe may be closing- would be a real shame. Skill zones also there for the keen riders. Great place.
Great place to visit with kids, but be mindful as some of the trails might be too hard. One of the trails is perfect for amateurs and even people on wheelchairs. Very good car park (pay mashine didn't work during our visit, so it was free). Next to the car park is a great play area for little and older kids. In the park there are many picnic tables so there is always some place to stop for a break. Lovely gift shop with inexpensive souvenirs. They also sell badges representing trials, which you completed.
Mesmerising beauty, lovely protected and well maintained nature. Enjoyed treks and walk. Free for the first 20 minutes, PS2 for 2 hours, 40p for every additional 20 minutes. Maximum charge is PS7 per day; overnight parking is not permitted. Car parking is free for Blue Badge holders. There's something for everyone here Cafe open 7 days a week * Bike Shop, Bike Hire & Bike Wash
One of the best forest parks in the UK. Amazing skills area with blue, red me black sections, pump track and jump area. A selection of trails to suit every skill level is available. The perfect place to build and perfect your mountain bike riding skills. There are also walking trails and a very good cafe with a good selection of food and drinks.
Like a dream. We walk through red route. Start moderate and in the end quiet steep hills. Forest is just amazing waterfall brilliant. We by the bridge climb down for the river and get serious memories
Absolutely loved walking round here although we accidentally took the wrong path. Definitely needed more time to explore, will be back.
