A secluded cove beach surrounded by limestone cliffs and lush green hills, with a mix of sand and pebbles lining the shore, and calm turquoise waters perfect for swimming and sunbathing.
Lovely beach, was surprised to see a dead stingray on the beach and a fisherman caught one by mistake and released it, so my partner was a bit nervous going swimming. Sea was great but hard to relax after on the huge pebbles, there is some sand at low tide but it was all wet. We did find a few fossils though.
Lovely quiet place. There is a park with swans and food courts nearby
So beautiful. The walks around the area are spectacular, the Knap lake and see front are a magnificent place to sit and take in its beauty and wildlife
Nice quite place, very clean. Good place to relax by yourself. Not a far drive from the beach, but if you want to be left alone, definitely the place to come. The water is clean as well.
Nice quiet place. Beautiful. Water is clean. Spectacular view.
Great location for all the family in Barry, the knap is a pebble beach and a short walk from the Sandy main beach in barry, you can walk from one side to the other on a wide open concrete path, suitable for disabled people needed a wheel chair/aids for walking or maybe not so steady on their feet. This path also leads around the pond so you can enjoy all aspects of this area with no limitations. There's a skate park for the kids which at current is being done out. There are toilets at the end of the car park which are always clean and tidy, we've never had an issue. At the time of writing this as well there's always a little van parked outside the toilets where you're able to get a treat for yourselves and the dogs! Dogs are welcome to visit all year round and this stretch is not effected by the beach ban and neither is the beach it leads onto. Parking at the time of writing this on the main beach front car park is free. Plenty of coffee places and shops lined alongside the pond. Fantastic place that we never get bored of! Highly recommend :)
