Commemorative bronze statue featuring 3 bronze World War II commandos amid mountain scenery.
Stopped here, on our recent car camping adventures. This place is stunningly beautiful, and also a very emotional place. The memorial garden especially. The views are incredible, and there is a cool stone which points to all the mountains surrounding you. We weren't there on the brightest of days, I imagine it would be incredible on a sunny day
What a great memorial. The car park is free so stop by on your journey. There's a statue and plaque, a mini cemetery and a donation box. Well worth a visit if you're in the area. The whole site is well maintained and there are great views from here.
Just stand in silence to appreciate this wonderful memorial to all Commandos lost in the service of the Crown. Lovely bronze statue depicting 3 ww2 commandos who trained in the area and who stand proudly looking over towards Ben Nevis and adjacent mountains. Parking available.
Came here a long time ago and pleased to say our hasn't changed other than more tributes being left in the remembrance garden - which is quite an emotional read. The statue itself is looks amazing with the mountainous backdrop and if you get the weather right out can be a very ethereal and stunning stop. It's very atmospheric when you are there during a quiet period but it can be a popular location.
We stopped here for a few minutes as part of a tour bus. The monument is huge and positioned well in the surroundings. Parking is plentiful and accessible. Getting to the monument isn't as accessible but you can see the monument from the road and the lot. It's a very nice place to relax and remember the fallen soldiers. There are a few places to sit for reflection.
Extremely interesting memorial that needs more than 30 minutes to appreciate it properly. The views are fabulous and the amount of tributes in the Memorial garden are innumerable. So much of history and tributes to the fallen
