At Conkers, there are a plethora of engaging events and activities for kids and families to enjoy, creating memorable experiences for all. Whether you visit on a weekday, weekend, daytime, or evening, Conkers has something for everyone!
Amazing place! The children had lots of fun. Make sure to arrive by 10 a.m. We were there from 12 p.m. to 6 p.m., and time flew by. Unfortunately, we had to rush through the last few attractions as there wasn't enough time to enjoy them properly. The place has a 4D movie theater, an amphitheater (where we watched a super entertaining show), a train that takes you to a big playground, a rope course, a barefoot walk, and much more. Plan to spend the entire day there, and be sure to bring plenty of snacks. However, they do have a few spots to buy food and a large food hall.
It was my first time visiting this venue for a gig at Conkers, and I was very impressed with the arena under the huge canopy... You do have to arrive early for a couple of reasons before the doors open. The Car Park gets full very quickly if you leave it too late and queues to get inside build up, which then limits where you can sit under the canopy. There is a bar available inside the arena serving an excellent range of beers, ciders, lagers, spirits, soft drinks and packets of snacks, all reasonably priced, as well as a food outlet that serves up Burgers, a couple of Pizza variations, along with tea & coffee in cardboard cups, but you do have to queue up, so be prepared to wait in line. The sound was excellent, along with the lighting as well, and tonight's gig was 'The ELO Experience' tribute group, who were excellent and superbly supported by a Kate Bush tribute group called 'Them Heavy People'. I will definitely return for another event, but tickets go quickly, and a lot of these sell out well ahead of the gig date due to the popularity of certain music artists.
Our new favourite "country park". Lots of things to do for different children ages, several playgrounds (the small kiddos one has few water features on as well for warmer days), free mini train, free activity trails through the forest, water birds to feed and observe, country forest to walk through, massive educational indoor interactive "museum" and softplay including bat cave slide, indoor mini cinema, softplay for birthday parties, and generally good family amenities like parking, toilets, food/ice-cream and if you want also well priced add-on outdoor activities like high ropes and archery. And the annual membership is pretty much what we pay for annual parking at public country parks, even cheaper considering all the kind friendly amenities and perks included. (Btw super easy to get - the reception just discounted our first ticket visit price when we bought annual at the end of the day, and now we just code a family QR code upon every entry and off we go, without any need to book a slot or anything. Much easier then other places.)
Fairly reasonable entry price you need to ask what ranger activities are going on in the day.. Like pond dipping and bushcraft which is included in entry fee, for activities like kayaking, archery and hi or lo ropes it's additional PS6 pp. Kids absolutely love this place.
Been to quite afew events here now. They are always really good nights. Recently went to the Lady Gaga / Amy Winehouse one. Busy but you can still find somewhere to sit. There's a little bar outside and a food hut. I had a pizza which was amazing. There is plenty of parking. I saw quite afew people bring cushions with them. You are sat outside on steps but they're not uncomfortable.
Conkers is a place where the kids love. Great on a nice day. Staff are friendly. Have no complaints about the venue. Just one issue..... Major safety issue is the playground equipment. Hopefully they see this post of the swing chain and get it replaced immediately.
