Corlic Hill is a scenic hill in the Scottish Highlands, offering breathtaking views of the surrounding landscape. The hill is covered in heather and bracken, with rocky outcrops and small lochs scattered throughout. On a clear day, visitors can see for miles in every direction, taking in the rugged beauty of the Highlands.
The footpath was easy, but the real difficulty was to find a right way, because the footpath was very unclear, and very few people come here. The view is definitely fantastic in a sunny day.
A great spot for fabulous views. You can walk up the hill either from the Gryffe Reservoirs to the South or through the Inverclyde wind farm to the East. Be careful if you use the wind farm route in winter, as the turbine blades collect ice which is then thrown off and could cause injury if you were too close.
Sheep are running around the wild, the wind is blowing and a stunning view is visible no matter the weather. The wall starts with a paved way, then turns to gravel and towards the top turns very muddy. Be aware when choosing your shoes. If you are wearing the correct shoes you might make it to the top unlike me. Even without reaching the summit I quite enjoyed the hike.
A beautiful autumn walk with amazing views. We parked just off the Old Largs Road and walked along the forestry roads.
What a view and easy to reach, carpark within short distance
Nice wee walk with a wee bit of a scramble near the top but it was icy when I went so this made it quite slidey but I'd say it would be fine on a dry day with no ice
Wheelchair-accessible car park
