I absolutely loved this, from how it is set up to what is on offer. It's a collection of super quirky, beautiful workshop spaces in huts that you can browse through. It's all dog friendly except the chocolate shop & parking is also free. My favourite was probably the wood craft store, would have loved to do a 1 day workshop but not possible on holiday. Our kids loved the chocolate shop workshop (they both made bars), but the candle making looked cool too. My advice is to book the workshops in advance as they do fill up quickly. The gin distillery does tasters (yummy) & we bought some crystals & ores for the kids from the jewellery shop. Prices in general are steep but it's understandable and the norm for hand made work/art.
Lots of lovely gift ideas in all shops. Lots of snacks, alcohol, cheeses, chocolate etc. Spent some time painting a piece of pottery, though found it over-priced for this.
This is a great place full of artists and craft persons selling their products. There is plenty here to cater for all. Food, drink, jewellery to Name a few. The cafe is great with good food, coffee and cakes. Also there is an outdoor area for the kids as well as cave exploring, either on a King Arthur adventure or through the Victorian mine, candle making or chocolate bars and pizzas to make. It's dog friendly and you could easily lose a good few hours here. Plenty of parking, with overflow when it gets super busy and as a bonus if the RAF or USAF are up playing, you are sure to see them fly over too as it is on the loop.
Came to see if we could see some jets coming through the Mach loop. Two coffees and teas later along with cake we can say it was a five star service . Reason for this is my wife has a serious allergy to egg. But at the age of 50 something she had the confidence in the staff to try cake for the first time ( vegan obviously) . One slice of Jaffa chocolate cake later and a seriously chocci mush later I had one happy wife , I was on standby with the epi pens ( not needed). Thank you for the service well worth the 5 stars .
My wife and son did the mine explorers trip and said it was the highlight of the holiday. It's a great location for watching jets flying past too. Excellent cafe for lunch. Good deli with plenty of Welsh goods. Excellent ice cream parlour. Interesting craft places too.
Lovely little shops, nice little cafe king Arthur's labyrinth and mine exploring. Fantastic views. Middle of Wales but well worth the drive
