Cossington Park is a 19th-century country house located in Leicestershire, England. The house features a mix of architectural styles, including Gothic Revival and Italianate, with a facade of red brick and a slate roof. The interior boasts ornate decorations, including intricate plasterwork, wooden paneling, and stained glass windows. The surrounding parkland offers scenic walking trails, a lake, and a variety of wildlife, providing a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of city life.
Big playpark to climb over for youngsters but looks (not tried, bit old) not well planned. There are goalposts but not used, a changing room, toilets all not used. Requires a football/cricket/tennis team, no money, buildings not used - locked up. Why not a female football/cricket etc teams. Needs organising and a little money. There is a archery club.
Lovely place. An enclosure for little ones with swings, slide and a roundabout. Some climbing for little older kids (today, 10/04/2021, parts of it missing and damaged - mind this structure was here more than 5 years ago). Big football field and small semi-basket ball area. Anything you would wish for and all in a small quiet village.
Cossington Park is a lovely area. The lovely walk along the foot path old railway to bawdrip is a lovely walk for all ages. I often take mu children there for a nice walk and then a play in the park and a picnic.
The play park is in need of maintenance but lots of things to do with 2 section one main for I'd say 5 and unders and a trim trail for older kids but like the main park the trail needs fixing
The old railway walk alongside the park is ideal for dog walking. The park is good for younger kids.
Very nice area. Lovely walks. Car park needs repair
