This 10-acre garden is a tranquil oasis featuring a variety of plant species, including roses, herbaceous borders, and a rock garden. A picturesque pond is surrounded by lush greenery, and a charming sensory garden invites exploration. Meandering paths and seating areas encourage visitors to linger and appreciate the serene atmosphere.
Wow, what a joy to visit! I've visited many gardens in my time, and this one is truly spectacular! The ten acre garden has so much variety, and it has a wonderful tranquil atmosphere. Beyond the garden, there is a five acre wood (that was magical to walk through) and a wildflower meadow. The cafe was wonderful, offering a range of delicious, reasonably priced homemade food. The soups and sandwiches really hit the spot! This garden is well worth a visit at any time of the year.
A well tended garden with an array of colours within the various individual themed gardens. Interesting to see the flamingos and rare breed chickens roaming around freely. The cafe is popular and well supported as is the in house plant centre with a good selection of various plants from hardy perennials to shade loving plants, all in all a pleasant afternoons visit
Had a lovely day wandering around in the sunshine. Lots of places to sit and admire the views. I enjoyed seeing the pigs, chickens and flamingos too! We had lunch and tea & cake in the cafe, all delicious. Bought a couple of plants from the nursery to take home as well. All in all very enjoyable day out if you enjoy noseying around gardens.
Like you're walking in a postcard! A must-see for gardening enthousiasts. We had a great time visiting this garden at the start of August, and the flower beds looked gorgeous and effortless, even though, of course, the opposite is true. I had the most delicious (still warm!) scone, and their assortment of cakes is impressive. So is the plant nursery! A good chance you will not leave empty- handed. I hope to come back someday!
What a lovely garden. We have been coming here for a number of years and thoroughly recommend buying the season ticket. From snowdrops and bluebells in the spring to beautiful colours in the summer and autumn the experience is wonderful, and I haven't even mentioned the cafe.
Was sceptical about paying PS10 entry per adult, but it's honestly worth it in my opinion. The gardens are spectacular and incredibly well maintained by 3 full time gardeners. There are 6 flamingoes, chickens roaming free and huge pigs to see. The cafe looks beautiful and would be nice in the sunshine. There's a small 'shop' where you can buy apple juice, jams, etc and a massive selection of plants for sale.
