For anyone looking for a gentle woodlandy adventure with or without your doggies this is the place to visit. When you arrive to the woods, following Google's map you'll see a small carpark at the front. It's small but it wasn't full when we visited and it is free, bonus! You can then choose your track, straight on or right. There are plenty of side trails along either way as well as a round trail. These have been beautifully maintained by the Woodland Trust. The woodland is not that old but nonetheless it is dense at places and full of wildlife. Please be aware that the woodland is surrounded by farms and some do have livestock so keep your doggies on the lead or control. We absolutely love this place, it was tranquil and easy-going walk and we are definitely going to be visiting again

We had a lovely walk here today. Parking is free and the walk all around the outside takes about an hour, and it's all pretty much flat. Not well signposted and lots of routes so I would say stick to edges all the way round. Lots of wildlife, bit muddy in places so suitable footwear advised if recent rain. Dog friendly. Would recommend. Would return.
The wood has been a haven through lockdown. A local escape.
