A 19th-century landscaped park featuring a large lake, walking trails, and plenty of green space for picnics and relaxation, surrounded by mature trees and offering scenic views of the surrounding countryside.
The wonderful new tennis court at Cowan Park host Tennis For Free every Saturday between 10am and 12pm. Fantastic facility providing a real community resource. You can book a court any day or join Tennis For Free.
OK. Well kept park. Saturday football on the grass was a bit wet underfoot with areas of pooling water making access tricky. Carpark and paths are excellent but a distance to walk to the main areas. Parking on main road at the playpark is tricky. Nice open spaces.
Really nice, clean park that services several parts of the town. Car park and street parking on different sides and cafe and ammenties on the northern side. Not sure of lighting when park would be dark but paths were all well maintained . Visited on a Saturday and there were plenty of people around.
One of my favourite parks that I visited regularly when I lived local to it. There are lots of free facilities for all to use including tennis courts, a running track and football pitches, picnic options The only issue is the park gets really water logged during heavy rain. The council should invest in better drainage. The kiddie play park is of a good the standard and lots of options. Dog friendly. Adequate parking. There is a community cafe and bike repair shop. The cafe has good options and the staff are lovely. Very inclusive.
Nice big park. My company are renovating the bandstand at the moment so I have been in a few times. I am going to come up soon to have a good walk around. had a walk around the park today. nice and flat, lovely big space.
Really great park. Some nice new features I haven't seen before. The slides are impressive, however not suitable for younger kids without assistance. It was fun to see my daughters 5 and 6 improve their climbing skills with my help. Perhaps a bit dangerous for their age without an attentive physically able adult.
