This is a pleasurable small walk along the burn of Letterfourie to the 17th Century Craigmin folly bridge. Please be aware there is no fairy village at this location anymore. Please be respectful when parking . There is no access to the Craigmin bridge from the pods or campsite. The only access is by parking in the village of Drybridge and walking to the bridge
Craigmin bridge, a hidden gem near Buckie. The bridge is to be found passing a farmyard and campground with pods. Asked the farm lady politely if I could pass to see the bridge and it was sure worth it. Beautiful. Not good accesable for people who are not walking easily.
Very unique looking bridge, pleasant walk after staying at the campsite. Nice and quiet, away from any crowds. The area is definitely reclaimed by nature though, which makes a great rustic view but take care en route with treacherous terrain on the way. Bit of an adventure finding the best routes down!
Well it's a cool bridge and it's free to visit so 3 stars seems a bit tight but it's not being well maintained so the trees have grown up and obscure the view, parking is limited and its only a short walk. If you are in the area looking for something to do it's a worth while look but not something to make a special trip for.
Wow such a stunning beautiful bridge, well worth the visit. Park in dry bridge and walk up slightly steep path. Once you get to the bridge walk over and explore both sides ...... great views and hidden doors so glad we came
Beautiful woodland setting, lovely gentle walk in to the bridge, and deep ravine with stream running through. The terrain getting to the stream and best view is very steep so would be difficult for young children, and anyone unsteady on their feet.
We parked in Drybridge on the village green and walked up the short but steep path. It felt like we were walking on a old railway line but this was the road to Letterfourie house. If you look at the bridge it looks like a bridge built on top on another bridge. For the best view either climb inside and look down towards the burn, or climb down towards the bank
