Garden Centre, Cafe, Gift Shop and Vintage Barn set in the former, walled kitchen garden of Cranborne Manor
Lovely Cottage Garden Centre with an amazing collection of rose's and unique plants. The Cafe serves excellent tasty food as well, so well worth a visit
We hired the Garden Room for a small event, and it was ideal. Claire was brilliant to deal with, friendly and helpful with any tweaks we wanted. The gift shop and garden centre themselves are excellent too - and it's impossible not to walk out without buying something! Highly recommended.
Tried this place out today having been recommended and been wanting to give it a try. Whilst it's a nice spot, nice shop and plants, it's not a place that's very friendly. We went in the cafe and no greeting of hello, can I help you etc, nothing and barely a smile. Made us feel like an inconvenience. Ordered two hot chocolates at PS4 each which came out barely luke warm. Dumped on the table, no pleasantries. We went it to the shop and my partner's daughter spent around PS17 on some pencils and paper, again no hello in the shop, no thank you etc when paying. Very unfriendly service for a shop that really isn't cheap. I then bought my partner something from their second hand shop-as a present . Went to pay, very formal and no smile, thank you or pleasantries. It's a shame- both me and my partner came out the shop and said exactly the same that wouldn't go back- shame as it's a great place but lacking any sort of customer service and made to feel like it's a hassle serving you. Hope this helps in giving an honest appraisal. A little bit of friendliness and service goes a long way.
Great food in the cafe with friendly service. Indoor and outdoor seating (can bring dog if you sit outside). It's pleasant sitting outdoors by the walled garden whilst also looking at all the plants for sale. Plenty of plants and pots for sale. Good gift shop too.
The garden plants available here are of a high quality, are well displayed and outside staff are helpful. There is a pleasant cafe on site, and again, the staff within are congenial and welcoming. The shop offers a variety of goods, which are not cheap, but they are different and I would buy for a special occasion. The only occasional negative experience I have when visiting here is that some, not all, staff serving on the exit till can appear to be dismissive and offhand towards you, and you can leave feeling your custom was not as welcome as towards those you faces "fit" better. However, most staff are very nice and it is only the occasional one who can flaw a visit.
We went for lunch here. I had a lovely tuna sandwich which came with a side salad. Very good value and would definitely go back.
