Craster Harbour is a picturesque coastal village situated on the north-east coast of England, in the county of Northumberland. The harbour itself is a tranquil haven, surrounded by rugged cliffs and rocky outcrops, with a small sandy beach and a few fishing boats bobbing gently in the water. The village is dotted with quaint, whitewashed cottages, their windows adorned with brightly coloured flowers, and a few old-fashioned shops and tea rooms. The atmosphere is peaceful and relaxed, with the sound of seagulls filling the air and the smell of saltwater and seaweed hanging over the village.
OK a bit out of the way, especially if coming up from Manchester but well worth a week's stay. Fantastic coastal walking in both directions and you always come back to the Jolly Fisherman, great pub with fab food and fantastic views.
We rarely return to holiday spots but Craster is different. Ideal location for a quiet holiday or with lots of activities. Right on the coastal path with it's own fish smoke hose, high class pub restaurant and surrounded by historic places to visit
Small harbour in the village of Craster. Famous for kippers. The place itself I'd a good starting point for a coastal walk or a stroll round the village
Had brilliant stay at a lovely cottage on the front overlooking the harbour. Very relaxing and quiet. Plenty of walks. With beautiful sunsets.
This harbour is a perfect place come at a weekend. You can explore the rock pools, rocky mountain side of the harbour or play in the sand whilst building sandcastles.
Craster is a charming little fishing port that is well worth visiting. There is an excellent car park as you enter the village so there is no need to take your car down to the harbour as it's only a 5 minute walk away from here.
