Peaceful, oceanfront park featuring wooded nature trails, a spacious beach, visitor center & cafe.
Great place place to visit and has different trails, park and coastal. The car park is free and opens at 9 am (currently). There's a gate blocking access before 9 am. One way in and out, on the way out, there's a bit of a hill with a bump that has spikes on it! I was scared for my car, but it's to prevent people from coming the wrong way. The spikes go in as you drive over it, I wasn't convinced, but it was all ok! Toilets in the car park are unisex. There are also toilets in the visitor centre. There's a cafe too but haven't visited it. You could easily spend the day here and it's free with loads of parking spaces, great walk by the water and great walk through the forest. Took me a while to find the waterfall. You need to walk up to where you first see parking spaces before you get to the car parks, or you can walk up through the forest. Great time.
Go to place for that mix of forest, beach & fun! I love crawfordsburn, there is so much to do and see. I run a walking group for women and they love going here for a beautiful scenic walk around the coastline and finishing it off with a beautiful lunch in woodlands cafe which is amazing. Try the chips! Wow! With toilet facilities and new showers installed in the lower car park its great for sea dipping/swimming and there is plenty of parking and picnic benches to enjoy a bbq or lunch.
With ample parking, towering trees providing welcome shade, and a direct path to the beach, it's the perfect spot for a family adventure or a leisurely stroll with your furry friend. The park's spacious grounds make it ideal for hiking, exploring, and letting kids (and dogs!) burn off energy. I wholeheartedly recommend a visit!
Fantastic place to walk with ppl and animals, the views are outstanding. There is a great trek that leads to a waterfall. It also leads onto a beautiful beach with lots of sand and scenery right over the sea and surrounding areas. It also has a cafe with great facilities, like a restaurant and restrooms. Plus a variety of stuffed animals on show which has stories of the animals in the forest outside.
Plenty of trails to explore, seaside, forest, stream... Good pair of walking shoes compulsory
