Norfolk Cromer Beach is simply stunning--clean, well-maintained, and popular with visitors of all ages. There are convenient ramps at both ends of the beach, and red and yellow flags mark safe swimming areas, monitored by attentive lifeguards. While the shoreline features a few rocks and the sand can be a bit coarse, the beauty of the beach more than makes up for it. Do note that the waves can be strong, making the water a bit challenging for younger children as it gets deep quickly. The local council is actively working on the sea wall defences, ensuring that this beautiful seaside spot remains protected for future generations. Their efforts are commendable and reflect a commitment to preserving the area. With friendly council staff emptying bins and sweeping regularly. There is also plenty of parking nearby with a giant overflow car park. At a cost of PS08.50p per day. One of the highlights of Norfolk Beach is the wooden pier, which is a true gem. The pier offers plenty of seating, and there are public crab fishing lines available for use. Towards the end of the pier, you'll find a delightful ice cream parlour, as well as spots to grab a beer or coffee. The standout feature, however, is the theatre, which hosts performances suitable for the whole community, making it a vibrant cultural hub. Additionally, there's a lifeboat station at the end of the pier, which is an impressive sight. The lifeboat service plays a crucial role, and they always appreciate support from the local community.

Beautiful beach lots of families having fun and enjoying the water. Stay out of the red zone near the peir. Lots of lifeguards on duty. Places to do surf body boarding lessons.

Sandy beach - car parks nearby. Amusements and ice creams all the usual seaside stuff. The pier is always worth a taking a walk along. Crabs a plenty on the beach and crabbing from the pier is top entertainment for the kids. Great day out.

The esplanade is best approached from the far end, otherwise it's a steady climb up a slope or stairs It's delightful to see the tractors parked up ready to go fishing. There's a lovely little art gallery at the far end of the esplanade, opposite where the church is in the picture. And they also have a lovely little bespoke ice cream counter and a small art gallery.

I came here as a hopeful amateur trying to get a wildcard for the Wimbledon playoffs that was up for grabs at an event held at Cromer Tennis Club. I was unsuccessful as I regretfully misjudged my preparation in my ball striking. It has to be clean against high quality solid tennis players. I was anything...but. Afterwards in the evening - I sat down on my final night to reflect on my performance - I was embraced with the most beautiful sunset I have ever seen that was accompanied with a pure reflection bouncing off from the North Sea onto it. It was incredibly powerful, and makes you realise that you are nothing in the context of this earth and the universe. Haha - not in a lossless way. It's the opposite - you feel you have even more of a meaning and purpose in this world considering the creation and existent of everything around you; such as this magnificient view that I was seeing I wasn't here for long, but I hope to be back here next year and fulfil a toast of sherry with the kind lady who spent hours listening to me babbling on about my tennis haha. Visiting Cromer after 20 years and found it to be a lovely place to come for a holiday or just stopping over. The town is good with lots of choice in shops and cafes and restaurants. We were not disappointed and thoroughtly enjoyed out stay there.
