Lots of parking spaces. The playground has lots of items, grass areas, and picnic tables and it's dog friendly. It has a boating lake and a lake for the wildlife. Also lots of grassy areas for picnics etc. Beautiful coastal walks through the sand dunes leading to the beach. Plenty of benches dotted around. There is a cafe and a shop at the entrance into the park.
Formby coast is a wonderful place to visit, car parks always really busy, better to park at life boat road. Get your steps in and try to find the dinosaur prints on the beach. Great place to walk or oaks children.
Great walk along the beach where the metal statues are, nice clean and popular beach. We ended up at the bus yard bar which was great. Sitting with a pint watching the ships go by.
When accessing the beach via the Leisure Centre, you will be greeted by The Soul Man ice cream van blasting great tunes, 100 iron statues by Antony Gormley "Another Place" and beautiful views of the coast!
Lovely walk around the marine lake.Cheap parking.Nice to stop off at the Busyard for food and drinks as a reward!!
Crosby beach is wonderful. Windy as hell but a great stretch of beach to walk dogs either on sand or on concrete. There are great views and metal men sticking out of the ground to show how the the tide is. There is a lovely place to eat there called the bus yard I believe the name is. Rain or shine there are people walking there dogs . It is well set up and catered for this with adequate bins for doggie bags and green areas to let dogs play. It's one of my favourite spots when I visit Liverpool...... just bring a jacket. Seriously windy at times
