Merchant's residence from the early 17th century, with a garden modeled on the style of the period.
Hats off to the directors and staff of this little gem for having created the most coherent superb visitor attraction (from the amazing introduction video to all the tiny small touches in rooms that show off great knowledge and true attention to details). My biggest praise goes to lovely Alison (not sure bout spelling, apologies!), who ended up giving our wee group a tour sharing amazing hidden stories and facts about culture of the times. Great to see right people at the right place putting not only great effort into their work, but also loads of heart!
Super road trip to visit the "Palace". Discovered it was an office and home during an interesting guided tour around the town. Gardens in bloom with amazing views over the river.
Spent the morning at this historic village and Palace, very interesting and lovely garden in the care of national trust for Scotland. Used in many film sets.
Very interesting historical site. Tour was very good. Staff very friendly and informative. The cafe was excellent - soup & sandwich highly recommended.
Loved our visit, a beautiful house being well presented. The staff were very friendly, the garden somehow gave me a Mediterranean feeling. A lovely cafe with great sandwiches and scones.
An amazing place another added to the list of favourites. Lovely guide ladies, lots of information. Cafe and toilets close by. Definitely we will be back.
