Scenic, forested valley offering a visitor center, cafe, hiking trails, mountain biking & fishing.
What a great way to spend a day. PS10 per car with 7 stops along the way. Some stops are just viewpoints but some are parks and places to stop and have food. There are areas for you to bring and use your own disposable BBQs as well. There are also plenty of trails and walks. Overall a great cheap way to spend a day.
Lovely place to visit, very clean and well maintained. Nice food and drinks and also dog friendly cafe. Great walks and spacious with lots of wonderful views. Ideal for bike rides and perfect if you love the outdoors also very peaceful. Always adding new things and ill continue to visit regularly.
Lovely place to roam around the woods in tranquil contemplation, or enjoy the views over the welsh valleys and as far as the english coast just over the Severn Estuary. Plenty of toilets too so picniccing isn't completely back to nature. And the visitor centre has a nice cafe and gift shop, so what more do we need for a great day out
Beautiful place with quiet picnic places in many car parks. Great children play areas as well as lovely walks. Well worth the PS10 to do the forest drive
Mountain biking heaven and so many trails to walk and explore. Breathtaking scenery, especially if you do the Sky Drive up into the hills. Good visitor centre and plenty of parking, even when busy. Different length walks with difficulty levels changing also. Parks for the kids to play if walking doesn't get off the ground
We love visiting here, there's something for everyone to enjoy whether you fancy a gentle walk, a more challenging climb, a bike ride, trip to the park with the kids or a bite to eat in the cafe! It is a little frustrating that the most easily accessible park by the lake is aimed at older children, which can make a trip there with little ones rather stressful as they try to climb things a bit big for them! But if you do the drive itself there are plenty of parks for younger children to enjoy too. One of our favourite places.
