We had a beautiful lunch here, the food is amazing, the desserts are so so good. the dining room is brilliant, located in the old kitchen of the castle, quite unusual. I would definitely recommend it for a visit. looking round the castle would be difficult for anyone who is in a wheelchair or has mobility issues.
Really nice, peaceful castle. Enjoyed reading about all the rooms in the place & see some old features. The staff were lovely & enjoyed a cuppa in the small kitchen. Met a few friends outside. Love that all the profit goes back into the restoration. Some nice walks around too.
Tea rooms are fantastic. Food is top notch. Really friendly service. Castle is a interesting walk about.
Breath taking place, Gorgeous sceneries and lovely place to stay, the general place was spectacular and very clean. The property site is beautiful and rich in spectacular history, Highly recommended.
We absolutely love it here. The walks around the estate woodland are beautiful, well maintained and easy to access. The accommodation in the castle and the old stables is homely and comfortable. The food from The Lairds Kitchen is home made, fresh and delicious. We visit Aberdeenshire annually and always call here for lunch, or to stay. They don't take dogs in the accommodation unfortunately, though.
What a stunning place to visit! Delgatie Castle is absolutely gorgeous, especially at Christmas time. The family put in such a lot of work to make it so welcoming. I attended as a stallholder at one of their Victorian Christmas weekends, and what a treat! It was wonderful to be in such elegant surroundings, steeped in history. The view from the ballroom on a sunny, frosty winter's day was breathtaking. Oh, and not forgetting the scones and Cullen Skink ... and carrot cake... and almond tart! Fantastic.
