This play park is a vibrant and interactive space where kids can explore and have fun. The park features a range of play equipment, including climbing frames, slides, and rope bridges, as well as a large splash pad area perfect for hot summer days. The park also has a skate park and a BMX track for older kids and teens. The surrounding area is beautifully landscaped with walking trails, picnic areas, and scenic views of the River Derwent.
Nice park hidden away in the middle of nowhere. We only found it by accident as we were looking for the Derwent reservoir. Smallish car park that you need to pay, PS1.50 for 2 hours, there is a coffee shop, gift shop and toilets too. Once you park you can either spend your time at the park or go for a walk around the reservoir. I can see it being very busy during the summer months.
Kids love coming here to play and the dog has a great time off the lead in the specially designated dog field. Small shop on site and a nice fire pit in the winter to toast marshmallows on. If you don't have change for the parking machine, you can pay in the shop.
The area was completely water logged and I couldn't get anywhere near it. Fortunately my daughter and son in law were wearing boots and the grandchildren had wellies!! Otherwise it would have been a total disaster. Sadly the cafe was closed for alterations/decorating. Regrettably the toilets were also closed. No signs or indicators as to where the nearest ones are. Having said all that the grandchildren still loved it, it must be excellent when it's dry
Kids were upset that their was a dead goose. And loads of fies at the crossing of the dam. But they enjoyed the little park
Nice clean dog free park!! You can let the kids roam free without worrying about dog muck.... there is a fenced off dog area for them though! Little shop close by has ample snacks. Spent a whole day here!
I was there for a Wild deer running event, but it's the second time there as it's such a lovely place with great facilities (parking, cafe, toilets). The kids that were there were having great fun in the play park. Also plenty of outdoor picnic tables.
