A breathtaking 17-meter-high waterfall on the River Lyd, surrounded by lush greenery and moss-covered rocks, creating a mystical atmosphere.
Beautiful walk up the glen from Comrie. Well maintained and easy paths, duckboards, bridges and viewings galleries to get close to the views.
Wonderful walk through the woodland as you follow the path along the river up to the waterfall. Relatively easy walk not too exerting. the greenery is gorgeous and the bridge/walkways through the trees etc are lovely and make the walk different to others done. Rather a lot of steps at points so not for those with mobility problems. We were staying in the centre of Crieff and it is an easy drive to the walk. We went on a wet day but was still beautiful! Definitely recommend if your in the area.
Spectacular waterfall on the River Lednock close to Comrie. A nice woodland walk from the outskirts. You can visit another waterfall on the way. Not for those with mobility problems as quite steep and lots of steps in places. But that apart worth the walk with incredible views and the sound of the pounding white water is exhilarating. Great place to see Red Squirrels too.
We took the Glen Lednock Circular Walk up the River Lednock to the Deil's Cauldron. The circular walk is a forest path starting at Monument Road carpark, but it is also possible to take the road up. An extensive boardwalk provides assess to the waterfall viewing platform (which can be a little slippery).
Nice, relatively short walk with some up and down and stairs to get to the waterfall. Nothing too spectacular but really peaceful and enjoyable walk in nature. Could probably be combined with hiking up Ben Chonzie or if stopping around Comrie anyways.
It's a trek down to the falls, but well worth the effort! Only parking for two vehicles 20 yards past the entrance!
