Discover is the UK's first Story Centre for children aged 0-11 and their families. Our aim is to create a love of language, literature and stories. At the heart of the centre, our purpose-built Story Worlds and Story Garden are creative play spaces designed to inspire children's curiosity and imagination. Changing each year, our interactive exhibitions immerse families in the world of their favourite authors.
Good space for fun time with little ones. I have a 18 month old and we chose just 1 additional event which was the story telling for babies 0-2 years. It was short and sweet and we gor plenty of time to enjoy the activities spaces.
My grandson loved his visit. Lots of space for kids to move around and find things to interact with. It's very sensory and imaginative. The garden area is well laid out too. Enough activity to wear little ones out! The story staff are brilliant too.
COMPLETE RIP OFF DO NOT GO. I am being generous by offering a one star. This place has absolutely no substance, it is full of plastic structures which on the outside promise entertainment and adventure but ultimately lead to absolutely nothing. The place is filthy and REEKS of urine, carpets are an atrocity and caked in dirt. Gaps in activities are filled with so called arts and crafts sections with blunt colours pencils, a few A4 colouring sheets and apparently life altering wooden spoons to decorate knicked from the local chippy. A measly library section sits in a decrepit corner with books that are falling apart and held together by tape. If your child wants to pull a random string with a plastic bead or go on a slide that you can find in any local park, go ahead and waste your hard earned money. Genuinely, this place was very disappointing. There were no real activities to do and each corner was built with somewhat interesting structures such as a ships deck but had nothing to actually do whatsoever. The only saving grace was the south asian lady at reception who was very welcoming and helpful.
My 3 year old enjoyed himself alot although I'd say he's at the older end to enjoy this space. Wouldent bring kids much older than that. Booked the box rocket too which he also loved. Fairly quiet was went weekday term time. Lots of space to run about and enjoy himself. Looses a star as mostly as we were told we couldent push baby around in buggey. We had to leave buggy in the buggy park and carry him the whole time. This was quite frustrating. I felt 42 pounds for 2 adults a baby and toddler was expensive for what it was.
Great place for kids of all ages! My two loved every minute of it. For the price it's a great day out. Lots of fun activities and plenty to do. The outdoor area is nice too. All in all worth going.
My toddler loves it there so we have the annual membership and renew it every year. We go often and couldn't recommend it more! Absolutely incredible, creative, beautifully designed and full of little surprises.
