Recommended museum to visit for adults and children. It's large which consists of 3-4 stories. The collection is good and somehow is arranged as a story of Newcastle and UK. The staff is nice and it seems well coordinated. The condition inside is clean and spacious.
Really good free museum in Newcastle. New Steam to green exhibition is fantastic showcasing new essential technology each home needs like home batteries, solar, EVs and heat pumps
Always loved this museum ever since coming on a school trip. Free to enter, lots to see, read and interact with. Kids absolutely love it! (Even if they're 38!) Very close walking distance from Newcastle city centre and further attractions. I was however taken back by a small window of "artifacts" from the year of 1997. Yes. 1997. We. Are. That. Old. Anyhoo.. the rest of the museum was thorough enjoyable! Disabled access with lifts throughout. Some parking nearby but I recommend the metro to st.james or central station and walking in.
Really cool place with friendly staff and interesting installations. Quality of the presented information is on high level. Also, facilities such as restrooms are clean and comfortable. Everything is accessible.
For a free attraction in Newcastle city centre you can not beat the Discovery Centre. Lots of hands on attractions for the whole family to enjoy. Took about 3 hours to walk round and has a cafe and toilets. What's more to love
Enjoyed our time here, and learnt a bit about the history of Newcastle. Clean tidy place, friendly staff, with good facilities. Free admission but donation encouraged
