Just discovered this little gem by the center of Newtown, a place to go with a picnic or to walk your pet ( as most people seem to do). This park is different from most, especially in Powys, it has the River Severn going right through it with a pedestrian bridge taking you to a large open parkland where you are able sit along the great river. I just regret it's taken me so long to find it, and see it being a favorite haunt of mine from now on.
Great park, carpark, toilets, cafe, river, playground n over the bridge open fields to play or have picnics. The squirrels come quite close to you.
One of the most picturesque parks I've been to. Not much in the way of play equipment for kids but beautiful to walk through, right next to the river
Lovely place for a walk with the dog. River was fast flowing this time after all the rain recently.
Beautiful scenery. Good walk for the family and dogs. Local to the centre shops. Car park easily accessible.
Great place for socialising dogs and owners. Usually someone there to have a natter to. Been fantastic for our rescue dog . Lovely wide open, safe space .
