Visited here with my husband, it was a great day. From the start of our day until we left we were entertained. The presentation at the start, in the stable area, was very informative, the gentleman who gave the presentation was very knowledgeable and very witty. We then had a walk around the park, feeding the numerous animals, pigs, donkeys, alpacas, goats, plus many more. The WW1 area was very good. We had lunch in the cafe, a sharing platter, very nice and very filling, definitely enough for two. We listened to a presentation on romany gypsies, again very informative. We ended our visit with a horse carriage ride around the park, this was included in the price. All in all a very good day, well worth the admission price.
Lovely visit today. Was great to meet the horses and especially enjoyed the yard tour to hear all about heavy horses in their care. You can buy horse food as well. A carriage ride is a must. Lots of play areas for the kids as well as pet handling. Old gypsy wagons and vehicles. Well worth a visit.
This place was amazing. We had the best day here. Staff were all friendly. They really got the boys to help and interact. Loved the set up. Loved the schedule so you know what wad happening throughout the day. Lots of things for the boys to play on. Loved the mock up of WW1 trenches. Educational but not boring at all. And also dog friendly.
A lovely day out. It is best to book in advance because it can get quite busy. All the horses are of the heavy variety and are rescues. There is lots to do. A ride on a carriage pulled by a heavy horse which is a gentle ride and explanations of the roles of the heavy horses in different times and places of the country and during world war one. I loved my day with these gentle giants.
Great place to visit. Gets very busy so be prepared. Really aimed at kids. I thought it was expensive for 2 adults circa PS34 particularly as most of the 'events' are for children and parents/guardians. However, never mind paying more when animals and their welfare is benefitting from your entry fees.
We visited today with our three grandchildren. Thank you for such a fabulous time, we all enjoyed it so much! So engaging and interactive, we learnt so much about your heavy horses A brilliant day out with loads to see and do, so well thought out, it's amazing. Congratulations to everyone involved!
