My wife and I had a brilliant morning with Mark on the Dorset Safari today. It was a really interesting and fun tour of the area and Mark was a knowledgeable guy with a great sense of humour. We saw many parts of the local countryside that we wouldn't have otherwise and my petrolhead needs were more than met on the green lanes. To top the morning off, Mark took us to a local cider farm where I had a tasting and bought some excellent cider as a souvenir of the day. We'd give six stars if we could! We've never visited Dorset before and this occasion was a very special one. My husbands 50th and our first wedding anniversary. All I can say is Wow! In fact I probably said that around 100 times while in the Land Rover with Mark We now know what a beautiful location Dorset is but really it was Mark who made the day. He was fun, warm and welcoming from the moment we first met. He explained about the areas as we drove and told us about the tracks he was allowed to drive on which enabled us to get some of the most breathtaking views and shared his extensive knowledge with us. The safari took us to look down over Corfe Castle. Then to Heavens Gate, the stunning scenery there will absolutely take your breath away and down Devils Steps which was so much fun in the Land Rover! From there on to St. Michael & All Angels church and Mark explained its links with George Washington. We drove down to the gorgeous Lulworth Cove where Mark dropped us so we could have a stroll along the beach. From there we visited Grange Arch before stopping for our picnic. His passion for the area and the safari really made for the most fantastic experience. Added to that were we felt some really important touches, the homemade cake and hot drinks , the picnic overlooking Poole Harbour and the glass of Prosecco at the foot of Corfe Castle. I would recommend 100%. Thankyou so much Mark, you truly gave us a day to remember.
Absolutely had the best day. The Defender was super comfortable, the views and stop offs were amazing , Mark was so knowledgeable, funny, informative and really made out day special. Even my 70 years nervous passenger loved every second. Cannot recommend this trip enough. The best thing to do in Dorset
We absolutely loved the Dorset Safari! The views were stunning. It was great to be able to go to so many places that you would normally have to walk hours to get to. And what could be nicer than sitting at the top of Heaven's Gate with tea and homemade cake. Our son loved the treasure hunt and we ended up all getting involved with looking for cows, deer, Dorset flags to name just a few. As well as Heaven's Gate, our safari took us on the hills overlooking Corfe castle and then to Tyneham and Lulworth Cove. Mark made the trip most enjoyable and interesting. Thank you Mark!
