Grants valuable help and generosity towards formation of this road, opened Nov. 21st 1914', the road being the A920 between Dufftown and Huntly. I found an excerpt from the Medical News dated 1921 announcing the death of Dr George Cowie Grant and have attached a picture. Dr Grant was held in very high regard and indeed was Provost of Dufftown for 3 years after giving up his professional career. He also worked for the County Council and was a Justice of the Peace. He loved his local community and served it well. A nice remembrance stone
