This 7.25-inch narrow-gauge railway is a popular tourist attraction in the United Kingdom, featuring a 2-foot narrow-gauge track that winds its way through beautiful gardens and woodlands. The railway operates a fleet of miniature steam and diesel locomotives, each meticulously designed and built to scale. Visitors can enjoy a leisurely ride on the train, taking in the scenic views and charming surroundings. The railway also offers special events and themed days throughout the year, making it a fun and unique experience for visitors of all ages.
We went to the steam day at dragon miniature railway on 25th August. It was a great day. There were several steam engines to look at, 2 passenger steam trains and a freight train. The railway line is a good length with lots to look at. The price of tickets is reasonable. The staff/volunteers were fantastic. Martin made everyone feel welcome as they arrived and everyone was ready to answer questions or share information to anyone who asked or wanted to hear it. My son absolutely loves trains so stayed all day asking all his questions, learning lots and riding every train. We will definitely be back again!
We absolutely love coming here. My little boy loves to ride the trains and visit the little play area. Can easily spend over 2 hours here. The little pocket money shop is fantastic, always well stocked and very friendly staff. It's fantastic.
Hidden gem! Family run miniature railway with steam and diesel locomotives. PS1.50 per ride (bring cash!). There's an intermediate stop with a play area which is great to have some picnic whilst the kids play; however, sometimes it may be booked for private parties. In the play area there are classic electric rides running on 20p coins. Don't forget your 50p coins to get on Tara the tram and get some driving practice! Worth taking a look in the pocket money shop and if possible contribute by donating pre loved toys
We visited here today for a Birthday party. They offer a private area with Electric and lots of play space, it's fitted with a trampoline slides swings and lots of ride on toys. It also has Electric ride on toys that cost 20p per go. The train ride is fantastic suitable for little ones and adults it takes you around a beautiful track with lots to see. It's located at a Garden centre so you can venture over there too
Totally amazing little railway. Only costs PS1.50 (Per person) It takes a out 7mins to go round the track. But is so worth it if you have kids. The staff and setting is really fun. Very safe and great fun for the whole family. They run lots of different trains and are more than happy to chat about it if you ask questions! Weekend only.
We had a great morning on the Dragon railway.. we took the Father Christmas train to the grotto. Our two year old absolutely loved it and our 11 year old enjoyed it far more than we thought he would. The train driver was a lovely lad who took photos for us when the train had to wait a moment. Reasonable priced also. Thanks
