We took a picnic with our 4 & 6 yr old grandchildren, we took their bikes, there's such a good flat path around the water. The toilet facilities in the car parking area were excellent, clean and well maintained. There's plenty of parking. And some good play equipment. There's several bench seat and tables too. A great place to spend a few hours outside
Four of us chose this spot to meet, all driving just under 2 hours from different parts of the country, to have a walk and lunch, only to realise NO DOGS. It is on the website in small print but the reviews made no reference to this. TripAdvisor reviews do. So disappointed. I've never visited a country park disallowing dogs. It looked nice through the fence but not for us. Please put it in BOLD so others don't make the same mistake.
