Dreamland Margate is FREE to enter! The picture perfect, seaside entertainment and amusement park. We're the pride of Margate, the UK's unofficial capital of cool - and we're so much more than just an amusement park. Dreamland Margate is a world-class family attraction opposite the golden sands of Margate (Kent), with a specially selected offering of vintage rides, pop-up entertainment, art installations and eclectic street food, plus a packed programme of live music and events.
We had a fun visit with plenty of rides to explore, especially for the little one. To enjoy the rides and other play areas, you'll need to purchase tokens on-site. There's also a roller rink, a cafe with a gaming area, and options like ice cream vans and a hot dog hut to keep everyone refreshed. Dreamland also has a venue for hosting shows, making it a lively spot with something always going on. During our visit, there was a biking event and a musical show, so it's worth checking their website for opening times, as they may vary based on events. There's ample parking right next to Dreamland, which is conveniently close to the beach, making it easy to enjoy both in one trip.
Great family free to enter pay to ride attractions. Food & drink available. Roller disco. Family big screen relaxing area.
Great experience, enjoyed the rides the children did too. Was able to get tokens but didn't manage to use them all would recommend buying tokens for just the rides you want rather than 20 tokens for PS40, unless you have a very large group of children 7 year old and up. Overall enjoyed
Dreamland was spacious and well laid out with lots of toilets which were nice and clean. The food, drink and ride prices were absolutely shocking. PS40 for 20 tokens is pretty outrageous especially if you have a group wanted to go on the scenic railway which is 2 tokens each!! I thought it was a bit cheeky to not let people bring their own food in and then expect them to pay the high prices. It isn't very inclusive to not allow picnics. What about the neurodiverse person that can only eat certain things for sensory and routine purposes, or someone with medical dietary needs? It's a shame as Margate is very hot on being 'inclusive and accepting' maybe they need to think of the bigger picture. The rides were fun and the staff were friendly and we had a great day overall just remember to have a big breakfast before you come!!
Great venue for live music. Drinks weren't personally over priced compared to some venues I have been to. The only issue really was lack of toilets. Ended up waiting as we would have missed the start of Limp Bizkit as the queues were huge. Good selection of food and there are rides etc.... Disability viewing access and parking readily available.
In essence, a nice big funfair. Small kids would love it. No tickets needed to enter. Token for rides. Has a large screen area to watch sports, etc. Arcade and toilet area in the main building. Some staff are not very helpful. When we got there, a major incident happened. One of the kids' tea cup rides came off with mother and daughter on it. Half the park was shut due to this, and there were no refunds on tokens. entertainment and rides weren't great, car parking is not free.
