A tranquil freshwater lake surrounded by rolling hills and wooded areas, offering scenic walking trails, picnic spots, and opportunities for birdwatching and fishing.
Large lay-by with picnic tables overlooking the reservoir.
Discovered this place on a cycling trip with my daughter. Totally awesome and completely unexpected and I was unaware it even existed. Good parking right next to it and a wooden table and bench available for a quick picnic. All in all....a wonderful place.
Lovely quiet place to picnic and have a walk. Come across it while working in the area. Lots of parking too.
Love this place - I grow up in this parts and spend a great deal of my childhood here! If you want a place of peace and quiet then this is perfect!
Nice big car park just a shame you can't actually cross bridge and walk round only way round is via roads which you can walk to the bridle paths
Lovely and tranquil. The water is so low at the moment you can see let's of old stones from buildings and walls
