This 18-hectare park features a variety of habitats including woodland, grassland, and wetlands, providing a haven for local wildlife. A network of trails and footpaths allows visitors to explore the park, taking in the scenic views and spotting birds, insects, and other wildlife. The park is also home to a community garden, where locals grow their own fruits and vegetables, and a children's play area, making it a great destination for families. The park's café serves refreshments and offers stunning views of the surrounding countryside.
Unfortunately this so called nature park is just a dump. It was made on waste ground . Blue bags of rubbish are now showing though the soil there and litter is everywhere . There is often cars parked up down there up to no good . Personally don't even feel safe walking my dog anymore.
Clean little park, I tend to have 5 minutes rest there as I'm passing through
Nice little space, with trails leading into woodland. Don't be misled, though, a lot of them are dead-ends! Nice place to relax and have something to eat and enjoy the peace and quiet, even though it's close to a main road.
Slightly underwhelming unfortunately. Looks like it's been neglected over the years and become victim to some flytipping. With a good tidy up it could be nicer. Also quite small. Good location next to the railway though. Great if you like trains.....which I do!
Small green space neatly tucked away behind the main Dronfield to Unstone road. Neat, though damp path runs from the starting gate round the park and down to the wooded stream, before coming back up to the seasonal pond. No amenities, but a few benches, rubbish bins, dog waste containers. Also rubbing posts for the kids to make transfers of wild animal footprints and leaf shapes. Should be a nice place, come summer.
I didn't intentionally go there, but saw a squirrel in a tree, which proves it works.
Good for kids
Dogs allowed
