A 19th-century folly situated in the woods of the Weston Park estate, featuring a collection of ancient stones and monuments, including the remains of a medieval church, surrounded by a tranquil and atmospheric setting.
To start the road is single lane which isn't that terrifying. Highly recommend proper footwear and very muddy on a rainy day. The car park which belongs to the estate has an honesty box for parking, PS3.50. There is a small play area for children and picnic tables. You can collect chicken eggs and feed goats at 11 everyday. Small cafe with a family room with larger tables and toys for children. The walk to the temple was flat for the most part but has some unexpected dips. Plenty to see there is a lovely view of the river and valley. Everything was clean. Kids loved it
Built over 200 years ago as a white elephant. Very impressive. Loads of parking with a honesty box payment of PS3. We visited the cafe for a lovely tea and cake. A good view over the countryside. We had a laugh at the approaching road signs . Really glad we went out of our way to visit. If you like to have a ramble there loads of walks aswell. A must visit
Nice little bit of history easy to find a parking space. Nice little cafe with toilets PS3 to park simply write your reg number down on the paper provided and pop it in a box and your money.its good place for a walk. Also if you have the time and money you can pay to stop in yurts near the cafe it looks good.
Lovely place to walk and interesting to see. Site is a little walk from the car park and I recommend bug spray as we had lots of flies pestering us and both got bitten! Not really suitable for people bad on their feet or wheelchair users as uneven ground and to fully explore would need to be able to get up a steep hill or steps.
Very awesome place bro, it's away from city so need a car to get here. I'm lucky enough to have a car. Thanks to god for this! However not a fan of the nature aborigines, they randomly fly to your body like: you're not invited here
Had a lovely atmospheric early morning walk. Signs and explanation of car parking fees were not posted where you could see from the car park but from the other side of the wall near a small hut. Hut is where you pay fee for car. Well worth the fee and walk to the druid folly.
