Posh property in an 1865 hunting lodge offering modern quarters, elegant dining & free breakfast.
I recently stayed at Duisdale House Hotel with my wife for a long period, overall extremely relaxing and peaceful hotel and area. Clearly same staff team most days but all working extremely hard to make customers visits excellent. It was lovely to speak to Will most days and he gave us various different area's (even on the mainland) to visit. Clearly knows Scotland as other guests had been recommended a beach by him. I spoke to I believe Robert at reception when we left and mentioned it would be good to not have a fixed menu the whole time for some variation but the food was good.
We booked a trip to Schotland and stayed one night in this excellent hotel. (Husband turned 50 this year). The room was perfect, was big enough, silent, clean and had an amazing view! Breakfast was perfect and all people were very friendly and helpfull.
We went for lunch at this lovely hotel and it didn't disappoint! The mussels in whisky cream were incredible - super fresh, locally caught and the portions were very generous. The chocolate mousse dessert was ridiculously good, and the service was also outstanding. We had our 2 dogs with us so we ate in the lounge bar (as they're not allowed in the main restaurant), but it was beautifully decorated with a lovely ambience, and we had the whole room to ourselves. The staff made us feel so welcome - a beautiful little place on Skye that I'd highly recommend.
The weather on the Isle of Skye may have been chilly, but our stay at the Duisdale was anything but! The Victorian house is beautifully decorated and restored, with comfortable, clean and spacious rooms, as well as a lounge, bar and dining room with views of the impressive gardens and Skye. The service is great, and the food (we enjoyed both breakfast and dinner there) is delicious. Highly recommend.
We had short, but wonderful stay during our Isle of Skye tour. Staff were friendly and accommodating. Room was cozy and clean. Sea view was beautiful. Restaurant was great. Would recommended this hotel .
My wife and I have just returned from a fabulous stay at Duisdale House Hotel. The property is absolutely stunning and every detail of the decor has been thought about. We dined in the restaurant one evening and were looked after by a lovely lady (Britney if I recall correctly) who couldn't have done more for us. The food was beautiful at both dinner and breakfast and we will certainly be back soon.
