Family day-out venue with ice-skating, 10-pin bowling and an Indiana Jones-themed play kingdom.
Staff are absolutely fabulous. Place was clean and just so much fun. Skates were clean and the blades were well taken care of! Music was great and the best family day out I've had in a good while.
It is great but if you go with kids the time isn't really enough. The atmosphere on Saturdays certainly is great and you cannot fault the staff or equipment. The entertainment from the DJ is good too but when you have 4 under 10 it can be challenging to finish a game that's for sure
Celebrated kids birthday party after play. It's a big hall and convenient for kids and adults. Also the food was awesome.
Myself and my daughter went ice skating last week. The staff at the counter were friendly. The first pair of skates I got were very blunt. Wouldn't even grip the ice. I went back to ask for another pair and the guy said because they were so busy they had all had a lot of use. Surely there should be someone there sharpening them if they know it's going to be busy? The second pair were slightly better but not the best. My daughter has only been a few times and this has been over the course of 3 years. So she was very nervous. There were plenty of snowmen around despite it being busy. She really needed support to help her around. She had nearly pulled me down from going round on her own. She did get to use it for a while until a young guy with glasses came over and rudely pulled it out of her hands. All I saw was a hand signal from him. He didn't even help her over to the side and just left her standing in the middle of the ice with people flying past her. She nearly burst into tears. She's shy and sensitive. I honestly couldn't believe it. Thankfully I was near and I helped her over to the wall. It really knocked her confidence too. I was even more annoyed when I saw he was letting 2 women with handbags on,(I thought you aren't allowed to wear bags), use the snowmen. I watched and he did look at them but never went over and took them. I went over at the end when I saw him and said the way he had treated my daughter was ridiculous and yet he lets 2 women continue to use them. He said he told my daughter she was too tall but I never heard him say that or see his mouth move. Only the hand signal. I said it was the way he just grabbed it from her and left her standing there was absolutely ridiculous. He denied seeing the women but I had seen him looking at them and doing nothing. Dreadful attitude and lack of customer care!
I had an okay time here. It was fun seeing so many people enjoying themselves and having a good time. The staff members who attended to me and sorted my skates out were very nice and polite. Booking price was pocket-friendly, and booking online was seamless and straightforward. I like the fact that there are lockers on-site for safekeeping of your personal belongings. The only downside for me, was the lack of staff of the skating rink. This was my first time ice-skating- I was pretty bad at it. I would have loved to have someone set me right in order to make the best of my 1.5-hour time slot, but I didn't get that, and it was quite sad that I can't say I have been able to get the ice skating experience I was looking forward to.
Ample parking for the size of the venue. Snacks and drinks vending machines available. Lockers are available also, make sure to bring PS1 coins for the tokens. Have fun!
