Dunmallard Car Park is a scenic spot in Northern Ireland offering stunning views of Carlingford Lough and the surrounding countryside. The car park itself is situated on a hill overlooking the lough, providing a panoramic vista that stretches as far as the Mourne Mountains. On a clear day, visitors can see across the water to the Republic of Ireland. The car park is a popular spot for walkers, cyclists, and nature lovers, with several trails and routes starting from the area. It's also a great place to stop and take in the scenery, with picnic tables and benches available.
A good spacious parking. But its always busy. So getting a spot as soon as you come can be tricky.
Decent car park , other side of the Eamont River to the village.
Minimum stay 2 hours is PS4.26. Nothing in Pooley Bridge to justify a 2 hour stay and PS4.26 is extortion. We turned around and left. Only wanted a Quick Look round for old times sake. Quick drive through reminded me why I never liked Pooley Bridge.
Disgustingly expensive. PS5 for 2 hours. I know people need to make money, and fair enough if there's a valet service provided. But this is just a gravel car park! Terrible!
Perfect car park for Ullswater lake. Right near the pier and a fabulous veiwing platform and seating area.
Handy for the lake, and a short (ish) walk to the town.
