Remains of a medieval fortress on a coastal headland, including a modern labyrinth by a rocky beach.
Amazingly kept castle. Car parking just at rear (PS3 a car). Paths can be a little slippy, so just be careful. There's also a literally gift shop and sea food restaurant near the harbour which are good!
We went for a nosie and to have a picnic with the kids. Took a walk around the castle then a walk down to the harbour. There is a small shop at the harbour for juice or crisps also a gift shop but we didn't enter it. The kids loved playing in the playpark and the enclosed football court. There is public toilets but we didn't use them so don't know what they were like. There was PS3 charge for parking that can be paid cash or contactless.
Great place for picnic or a good walk plenty of play area for children. And excellent toilet facilities.also Outlander was filmed there.
Nice for a visit if your in the area, parking available small charge, toilets on site. Lots of picnic tables and seat around, children's play area. Short stroll to harbour where cafe, and gift shop available.
Nice castle on the sea line Areas are closed off due to safety, but it's understandable. The view is amazing
