A picturesque bay on the northeast coast of England, known for its tranquil atmosphere and stunning natural beauty. The bay is surrounded by rolling hills and towering cliffs, with a long stretch of sandy beach that's perfect for walking, sunbathing, and water activities. The shoreline is dotted with interesting rock formations, and the bay is a haven for wildlife, including seabirds and seals.
It was a lovely day and I went for a paddle.. water was quite far away for most of the day but I did have a paddle but not a swim.. .. beach is quite rocky and pebbly in places and lots of seaweed.. Would recommend shoes for water..
Wonderful large unspoiled sands, giving opportunity for long walks and bathing on sunny days. Access also to and from country park, lake, cafe and car park.
Wonderful beach on the North-East beautifully-rugged, mostly untouched coastline. A real national gem. Within easy reach of some great places to stay short or long term. Also within easy reach of more days-out than you can cram into a 1 week stay.
Lovely place and not very busy
Beautiful place, one of my favourite places to park overnight. Open your door and step onto the beach!
Very spacious beach, it is so large that it never seems busy. Only thing to be wary of it between July and September time there are a lot of jellyfish.
Wheelchair-accessible car park
Good for kids
